2. Darkness in Duskwood

As the party entered Duskwood, they were met with an oppressive atmosphere and persistent darkness that only increased as they ventured further into the woods. After a while, they discovered a clearing in the woods where a dying Reforged had been abandoned. After some investigation, the party discovered that this Reforged had been turned upon by his comrades for showing remorse over the deaths in Passage.

The party then discovered Ray, a shifter who was investigating the source of the corruption in and around the forest, and had been tracking the Reforged. Ray agreed to team-up with the party.

Deeper into dusk

After further exploration, and delving deeper into the darkened atmosphere, the party was attacked by more of the cloaked humans, this time using necromancy to raise skeletons.

They continued through the forest before finding the Dhakaani ruins, and reaching the epicenter of the gloom. After dispatching a group of crazed Reforged who were set on delaying the group, in the distance they witnessed a beam of channeled darkness begin to form and stabilise.

As the group ventured further into the ruins, they discovered an ancient Dhakaani structure covered in heiroglyphs and filled with warforged pieces, along with a large, chained Dragonshard. At this point, they heard a ritualistic chanting, and as they worked their way further up the hill, they uncovered the Emerald Claw and Reforged performing a ritual. It seemed The Reforged leader was using the stolen artefact with the powers of Duskwood's manifest zone to bridge with the plane of Mabar.

The Reforged leader called out to the group, welcoming them to a new age, but instead of fighting, the Reforged and their allies walked through a newly opened portal, leaving the party to face off with a hulking Reforged abomination.
